The details page for the 10/28 "reliability" update for vista is unavailable,
or unreliable, or whatever (g).

Yup, the Microsoft Knowledge Base article is still 404 and the
'Overview' here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ce4f61d7-b659-4db5-95b8-9a86ca475ca4&DisplayLang=en
isn't very informative.
Was the update offered via auto updates and did it install, Frank ?
Did it help " achieve better performance and responsiveness in various
scenarios ", whatever those 'various scenarios' are ?<w>

Re: Update for Windows Vista (KB957200) page is 404

It's live now, but the article isn't about a reliability update at all:

Windows Error Reporting does not function correctly when it is running in a
"Windows on Windows 64" (WoW64) configuration on a Windows Vista SP1-based
or Windows Server 2008-based computer

Re: Update for Windows Vista (KB957200) page is 404

A WOW64 update for my factory Vista HP32 SP1? Passing strange, that.

It did install correctly on my scenarios for Citizen Kane and Children of
Paradise, though, and greatly improved my filmgoing experience. As an
out-of-band update, it also let me listen to the Lux Radio Theater on my
fillings, without a radio or tinfoil hat. Marvelous code.

Now *that* is a funny post Frank. Thanks for the laugh.
BTW, if you want a radio recording of an Abbott and Costello show that
included the original 'Who's on First', just ask.
